A license for Fogo’s Future
On 11th June Fogo Parish Church Community Trust (the Trust) and Fogo Parish Church (the Church of Scotland Congregation) signed a historic License to Occupy - thus ensuring that the Kirk can continue to operate as a place of worship, education and leisure for the residents of Fogo and beyond. This is another milestone in the developing story of the Kirk, which was threatened with closure until our beloved Dane Sherrard brought love and life and energy back to Fogo. Thanks to his vision, and the financial commitment of those who bought the building, we are now the custodians of a thriving and ancient Scottish community church building with a developing presence known for fabulous musical performances, inter-denominational worship and a growing range of clubs.
Signed by Rev Adam Hood, Trustees Allan Harding and Lorna French and Session Clerk Hilary Murray Brown. Witnessed by John Baird.
