Afternoon Variety Concert

What a wealth of talent turned up to perform on a glorious sunny Sunday afternoon at Fogo Kirk! Our own Fogo Trust member Heather Cattanach opened with husband Harris Playfair, followed by local maestro Leonard Harper Gow on piano, then the incredibly talented Robin and Gregor Mitchell (close your eyes and you would be sure they were professional adult musicians!). We were treated to sensitive renditions of classical pieces by Connie and Sam Schoales, then lulled into a dreamy, mesmeric rhythm guitar session by Orren Karp. Bob Hanlon raised the roof with his powerful tenor just before the break, then it was time for jazzzzz - with Harris, son Ryan on drums and Joe Robson on guitar. Gwen Mabon treated us to three diverse songs in her pitch perfect soprano before the afternoon ended with the whole gang on stage, including John Mabon on trumpet and Gillian Mitchell in the choir.

The afternoon was in aid of the Trust and has raised a whopping £400 so far.
