World Class Jazz

It always feels World Class at Fogo, but on Sunday 2nd November, it absolutely was. Gordon Campbell’s trombone playing, and Malcolm MacFarlane’s guitar charmed the packed house for over two hours of top class jazz. Accompanied by local virtuoso Harris Playfair on keyboard, the duo and trio had the audience tapping toes, smiling - and at some points even singing along. In between classic performances of old standards and show tunes, Gordon entertained with stories of the legends he has worked with over the years - Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Shirley Bassey and more.
